Ion Technology Centre (ITC)

ITC was formed in 2001 as a consolidation of resources from Uppsala University and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, for analysis and modification of materials using ion beams.

The experimental facilities are located at the Ångström Laboratory in Uppsala, and is based on a 5 MV NEC pelletron tandem accelerator and a 350 kV Danfysik high current implanter.

ITC participates in the Myfab collaboration as a part of the Ångström Microstructure Laboratory.

ITC offers ion implantation services within large dose and energy ranges with short turn-around times and competitive prices.

Since 2013, the ITC infrastructure is supported by the Swedish Research Council (VR-RFI).

The Ion Technology Centre serves academia and industry with material modifications by ion implantation.
